Many fires (red pixels) were burning across the Henan Province in eastern China on June 7, 2002, filling the skies with a thick pall of greyish smoke as far north as Beijing. The smoke appears to be blowing northeastward over the Yellow Sea toward Korea and Japan. This true-color image. Please note that the high-resolution scene provided here is 500 meters per pixel.
